Each Promotion is available for a limited time only and requires the Host to opt in for the promotion as further specified below. The Promotions currently available to Hosts are as follows:
New Onboard Bonus
The New Onboard Bonus is a one-time, per-car Promotion that rewards Hosts who add an Eligible Car to an Eligible Market while this Promotion is in effect, and such Eligible Car meets the Eligible Car requirements throughout the Measuring Period.

Referral Bonuses
Guest Referral Program
The Guest Referral Program (referred to as the “Program”) allows both Guests and Hosts to earn a bonus (the “Guest Referral Bonus”) by referring individuals to become new Guests on Getaround using the Guest's personal referral link. This Program is effective (and applies to trips booked) on or after August 21, 2019. The following terms and conditions apply to all Hosts and Guests (collectively, “Participants”) participating in this Program.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 19 years old, and Participants must be legal residents of the United States. All trips booked as part of the Program must comply with Getaround’s Terms of Service and originate in the United States.
The Guest Referral Bonus
Participants may earn a Guest Referral Bonus if:
- A referred individual clicks on the Participant’s referral link and proceeds to book their first Reservation;
- The referred individual becomes approved to drive on Getaround and accepts the Terms of Service; and
- The referred individual doesn’t cancel their first Reservation.
The following restrictions apply when earning the Guest Referral Bonus:

- The Program may only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Referral Links
Each referred individual may only make use of a Referral Link once, and in case multiple Referral Links are received, only the Participant associated with the Referral Link actually used to book a trip on Getaround will earn the Guest Referral Bonus associated with that trip. In the event multiple Participants claim credit for a particular trip, Getaround may, in its sole discretion, investigate and decide which Participant is eligible for the Guest Referral Bonus.
Referral Links may not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites), blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit or other social networks. Participants are prohibited from using mass emails, texts or other forms of direct or indirect communication with people they do not know, and are prohibited from using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute their Referral Links. Participants are also prohibited from paying to advertise their Referral Links. Finally, Hosts are prohibited from placing Referral Links anywhere on the Getaround profile pages for their cars.
Payment of Guest Referral Bonuses
For Participants who are Hosts, the total amount of eligible and accrued Guest Referral Bonuses in the prior calendar month will be automatically calculated and added to the Host's payment as an earnings adjustment. For Participants who are Guests, the Guest Referral Bonus will be in the form of a Getaround promotional code, generated for each referred individual who meets the above requirements.
Guest Referral Bonuses are accrued based on a Reservation's start date and time, (based on the UTC timezone), and only non-cancelled trips are accounted for. Participants are responsible for any taxes, fees or charges that may arise from earnings and payouts of any Guest Referral Bonuses.
The maximum number of Referral Links that Participants may distribute through the Service is four (4) Referral Links per calendar month.

The High Availability Bonus is a per-month, per-car Promotion that rewards Hosts who maintain average fleetwide availability percentages during a calendar month of the High Availability Bonus Period, as further specified below. The amount of the High Availability Bonus is as follows:
- $150 per Eligible Existing Car in June 2021 (prorated based on Listed Hours for Eligible New Cars)
- $125 per Eligible Existing Car in July 2021 (prorated based on Listed Hours for Eligible New Cars)
- $100 per Eligible Existing Car in August 2021 (prorated based on Listed Hours for Eligible New Cars)
June 2021, July 2021, and August 2021 make up the High Availability Bonus Period.
A Host’s fleet includes all cars of any status that have been added to any Getaround account that is directly or indirectly controlled by the Host.
An Eligible Car is a car that is reserved, available for reservation, or temporarily deactivated because of an event that occurred during a Getaround trip that renders the car inoperable, for all of the car’s Listed Hours during a calendar month of the High Availability Bonus Period. A car’s Listed Hours for the purposes of the High Availability Bonus are: (i) all hours in the applicable calendar month, if the car was available for initial reservation as of the first hour of that month (an “Eligible Existing Car”); or (ii) the total hours remaining in the applicable calendar month immediately after the car was made available for initial reservation, if the car was made available for initial reservation after the first hour of that month (an “Eligible New Car”). Listed Hours do not include recurring inaccessibility calendar blocks that have been added by Getaround to reflect events such as daily garage closures.
The High Availability Bonus is prorated for Eligible New Cars for the month during which they were made available for initial reservation, according to their Listed Hours for that month.
Here is how Hosts can earn the High Availability Bonus during a calendar month of the High Availability Bonus Period:
Ensure that all cars meet the following requirements:
- All cars must conform to Getaround’s Vehicle Eligibility Requirements.
- All cars must remain parked within an active Getaround zip code when available for reservation.
- All cars must have predictive pricing enabled with the Getaround-recommended default settings for minimum daily price, and a minimum trip duration of 3 hours or less, without disabling predictive pricing for any car or changing from the Getaround-recommended settings at any time. (Hosts should use the “Reset to recommended” button in their owner dashboards to satisfy this requirement.)
Maintain a minimum Weekday Availability Percentage of 70%.
- A fleet’s Weekday Availability Percentage is calculated by dividing the fleet’s total Weekday Available Hours by its total Weekday Listed Hours.
- Weekday Available Hours include all weekday hours during which a car is reserved or available for reservation on Getaround.
- Weekday Available Hours do not include hours that contain calendar blocks of any length, unless those blocks are removed at least 72 hours before their start time. Weekday Available Hours also do not include any time during which a car is otherwise unavailable for reservation, such as when a trip in that car has been cancelled by the Host, the car has been temporarily deactivated, or the car has been permanently removed from the platform.
Maintain a minimum Weekend Availability Percentage of 70%
- A fleet’s Weekend Availability Percentage is calculated by dividing the fleet’s total Weekend Available Hours by its total Weekend Listed Hours.
- Weekend Available Hours include all weekend hours during which a car is reserved or available for reservation on Getaround.
- Weekend Available Hours do not include hours that contain calendar blocks of any length, unless those blocks are removed at least 72 hours before their start time. Weekend Available Hours also do not include any time during which a car is otherwise unavailable for reservation, such as when a trip in that car has been cancelled by the Host, the car has been temporarily deactivated, or the car has been permanently removed from the platform.
Maintain a fleetwide trip cancellation rate of less than 10%.
- Cancellations applied to this rate include any cancellations initiated by (or at the request of) the Host, and any Host no-show event, unless the cancellation or no-show event directly results from an incident occurring during a Getaround trip that rendered the car inoperable.
- For most Hosts, avoiding a fleetwide trip cancellation rate of 10% means cancelling no more than 1 trip per month, per car.
Maintain a fleetwide vehicle count that does not decrease more than 5% during the High Availability Bonus Period relative to the Host's total vehicle count at the start of the High Availability Bonus Period.
- Exceptions to this requirement may be made for cars delisted as a direct, permanent, and unavoidable result of a Getaround trip.
- Hosts may file an appeal with Getaround to have cars excluded from the Host's fleetwide availability calculations based on contractual commitments regarding the lease, financing, sale, or other long-term disposition of such cars in existence at the start of the High Availability Bonus Period, or vehicle recalls arising during the High Availability Bonus Period, which prevent the Host from reactivating those cars. Submission of an appeal with Getaround does not guarantee the acceptance of the appeal.
New Car Bonus
The New Car Bonus is a one-time, per-car Promotion that rewards Hosts who add Eligible Cars to the Getaround platform during the High Availability Bonus Period. The amount of the New Car Bonus is as follows:
- $150 per Eligible Car if listed in June 2021
- $125 per Eligible Car if listed in July 2021
- $100 per Eligible Car if listed in August 2021
Here is how Hosts can earn the one-time New Car Bonus during the High Availability Bonus Period:
Add an Eligible Car during the High Availability Bonus Period that meets Getaround’s Vehicle Eligibility Requirements.
- For the purposes of the New Car Bonus, cars that have been removed from the Getaround platform during the High Availability Bonus Period are ineligible for the New Car Bonus.
For 30 consecutive days following the Eligible Car being made available for initial reservation (the “Measuring Period”), ensure that the car meets all of the following requirements:
- The Eligible Car must conform to Getaround’s Vehicle Eligibility Requirements.
- The Eligible Car must remain parked within an active Getaround zip code when available for reservation.
- The Eligible Car must remain listed on the Getaround platform.
- The Eligible Car must have predictive pricing enabled with the Getaround-recommended default settings for minimum daily price, and a minimum trip duration of 3 hours or less, without disabling predictive pricing or changing from the Getaround-recommended settings at any time. (Hosts should use the “Reset to recommended” button in their owner dashboards to satisfy this requirement.)
Maintain a minimum Weekday Availability Percentage of 70% for the Eligible Car throughout the Measuring Period.
- A new Eligible Car’s Weekday Availability Percentage is calculated by dividing the car’s total Weekday Available Hours by its total Weekday Listed Hours.
- For the purposes of the New Car Bonus, an Eligible Car’s Weekday Listed Hours are the total weekday hours within the Measuring Period.
Maintain a minimum Weekend Availability Percentage of 70% throughout the Measuring Period.
- A new Eligible Car’s Weekend Availability Percentage is calculated by dividing the car’s total Weekend Available Hours by its total Weekend Listed Hours.
- For the purposes of the New Car Bonus, an Eligible Car’s Weekend Listed Hours are the total weekend hours within the Measuring Period.
Maintain a trip cancellation rate for the Eligible Car of less than 10%.
- Cancellations applied to this rate include any cancellations initiated by (or at the request of) the Host, and any Host no-show event, unless the cancellation or no-show event directly results from an incident occurring during a Getaround trip that rendered the car inoperable.
For clarity, the following is a comparison between the High Availability Bonus and the New Car Bonus:
- The High Availability Bonus is available on a per-fleet basis during each of the 3 months within the High Availability Bonus Period. The New Car Bonus is available on a one-time, per-car basis during the High Availability Bonus Period.
- Available Hours for the High Availability Bonus are measured on a fleetwide basis during a calendar month of the High Availability Bonus Period. Available Hours for the New Car Bonus are measured on a per-car basis during the first 30 days of a new Eligible Car’s availability for reservation on the Getaround platform.
- High Availability Bonuses for Eligible New Cars are prorated in a calendar month of the High Availability Bonus Period according to the Listed Hours of those cars during that month. New Car Bonuses for Eligible Cars are not similarly prorated.
- Each Eligible Car added to the Getaround platform during the High Availability Bonus Period that satisfies the requirements of the New Car Bonus can earn both the applicable New Car Bonus and the Fleet Availability Bonus, provided that all requirements of the High Availability Bonus are also met by the fleet to which the Eligible Car has been added.
- The High Availability Bonus is added to the earnings of eligible Hosts within two calendar months immediately following the month during which the requirements of the High Availability Bonus were met. The New Car Bonus is added to the earnings of eligible Hosts within two calendar months immediately following the month during which the Measuring Period ended.
Earn More Bonus
The Earn More Bonus is a per-calendar-month, per-car Promotion that rewards Hosts who maintain high Trip Earnings from Eligible Cars during the Measuring Period. To be eligible for this Earn More Bonus, Hosts must review the Earn More Training Video and submit the final results to Getaround. Once the results are received by Getaround, all Eligible Cars within the Host's fleet will be enrolled in the Promotion for up to six months.
The amount of the Earn More Bonus for an Eligible Car will be as set forth in the table below:
Trip Earnings (Per Cal Month) -- Earn More Bonus (Per Cal Month)
$1700.00 or more -- $600
$1000.00 to $1699.99 -- $300
$750.00 to $999.99 -- $150
$500.00 to $749.99 -- $75
Trip Earnings will be tracked based on the date of enrollment in the Promotion. If an Eligible Car is enrolled before the 15th of a calendar month, then all Trip Earnings for that calendar month (including those earned prior to enrollment date) will be included in the calculation of the Earn More Bonus for that calendar month. If an Eligible Car is enrolled on or after the 15th of a calendar month, then Trip Earnings will be tracked commencing on the first day of the calendar month following enrollment. The Earn More Bonus will be paid to Hosts within one calendar month after the end of the Eligible Car’s Measuring Period.
