Fresno, California, is a city in the San Joaquin Valley of California and the Central Valley region. About 542,000 people, predominately Hispanics, call these 112 square miles of inland California home. It was founded in 1872 as a railway station and incorporated in 1885. Yosemite National Park is 60 miles to the north.
